How do I buy it?

mimoney can be purchased in one of 6 ways:

1) Self Service Terminals (get mimoney instantly!)
At a self-service terminal at selected mimoney outlets. E.g. Ster Kinekor has kiosks set up within cinemas where you can purchase mimoney : select “Buy mimoney”. Key in the mimoney recipient’s mobile number. Enter the amount you want to purchase a voucher for. Pay for the voucher with a debit card. This is the quickest way to purchase a mimoney voucher! Alike kiosks at other mimoney outlets will operate similarly.

2) mimoney Sales Agent (get mimoney instantly!)
Buy mimoney at selected mimoney till points with either cash or debit card. Such till points are set-up at Ster Kinekor cinemas and are assisted by sales agents on duty.

3) Internet/Mobile Banking via EFT (please note; it may take up to 3 working days for internet banking transfers)
Internet and Mobile Banking payment in two easy steps.

STEP 1 – Create mimoney as a beneficiary.

Log onto your Internet banking online account and follow the standard procedure of setting up a new beneficiary with the following information:

ACCOUNT NAME	mimoney EFT Account
BANK	Standard Bank
BRANCH	Johannesburg Branch
BRANCH CODE	000205 (Not required if you are paying from Standard Bank or ABSA)
ACCOUNT NUMBER	009 738 258

Standard Bank Internet banking users can access the “Company Directory Index” and mimoney will be listed as a Company beneficiary.

STEP 2 – Make a payment to mimoney to send to a recipient

Select the mimoney beneficiary created in Step 1.

Enter the value of the voucher you want to send.

As “Beneficiary Reference”, enter the mobile number of the person you are sending the mimoney to.
Print or save a proof of payment.

Once you’ve created mimoney as a beneficiary, sending mimoney in future will only require Step 2.

4) Bank channel (please note; it may take up to 3 working days for banking transfers)

Go to any bank in South Africa and ask the teller to set up a new beneficiary on your account following the same procedure as that of internet bankers in Step 1.

Make a transfer to that beneficiary as in step 2.

Ask for a printed proof of payment!

5) AutoPay (get mimoney instantly!)

Users can purchase mimoney directly from the mimoney website! Click here to purchase mimoney using AutoPay.

6) mowalÿ (get mimoney instantly!)

Use your mowalÿ to send mimoney. Go to “send mimoney” and enter in the mobile number of the recipient and the amount you want to send.
